श्रीमदादिशङ्करभगवत्पादपरंपरागत-मूलाम्नाय-सर्वज्ञश्रीकाञ्चीकामकोटिपीठाधीश्वर-जगद्गुरूद्गुणांआशीर्वादैः परमकृ पया च काञ्चीपुरेश्रीचन्द्रशेखरेन्द्रसरस्वतीविश्वमहाविद्यालये , शास्त्राभ्यासाभिवृद्धये – शास्त्र रक्षणाय, विदषां ु पोषणाय च “घटिकास्थानं” इति नाम्ना केन्द्रमेकं आरभ्यते। पूर्वस्मिन्कालेवेदशास्त्राभिवृद्धये, अध्येतुः पूर्णज्ञानपरीक्षणार्थं तत्तद्वेदभागेषुतत्तच्छास्त्रेषुच प्रश्नविशेषान्एकस्मिन्घटेनिक्षिप्य ततः चितान्प्रश्नान्विद्वांसः परीक्षामासुः। अयमेव घटिकास्थानानां परीक्षणसंप्रदायः।अस्मिन्परीक्षाविधौ अध्येता स्वेच्छया यंकञ्चन शास्त्रग्रन्थंपरीक्षाविषयतया वरणंकर्तुंशक्नोति। विद्वत्समितिः घटिकापद्धत्या गम्भीरांसूक्ष्मांच मौखिकीं परीक्षाम्आचरति।के वलं प्रदर्शितज्ञानप्रावीण्यस्य आधारेण एव योग्यतांनिर्धारयति।
परीक्षायांभागग्रहणंकर्तुमुत्सुकाः छात्राः जालपुटेअस्मिन्वर्तमानं पञ्जीकरणपिञ्जंनुदित्वा आवेदयितुमर्हन्ति। आवेदनपत्रस्य समर्पणानन्तरंघटिकास्थानसदस्याः भवतः सम्पर्कं कृत्वा योग्यतां विचार्यपरीक्ष्यग्रन्थविशेषभागं परिक्षापद्धतिं च अधिकृत्य मार्गदर्शनं करिष्यन्ति।परीक्षायाम्उत्तीर्णाः परीक्षार्थिनः जगद्गुरूद्गुणां श्रीकाञ्चीकामकोटिपीठाधीश्वराणां दिव्यकरकमलाभ्यांधनराशिसहितं प्रमाणपत्रंप्राप्स्यन्ति।अधिकविवरणार्थम्असकृ त्पृष्टप्रश्नावलि (FAQ) विभागात्जानन्तु।
With the blessings of the Jagadgurus of the Shri Adi Shankara Paramparagata Moolamnaya Sarvagna Sri Kanchi Kamakoti Peetham, for the growth and preservation of Shastra-study and for the support and well being of learned scholars, a centre named “Ghaṭikāsthānam” is being established at Shri Chandrasekharendra Saraswati Viswa Mahavidyalaya.
This is a sacred initiative dedicated to reviving the ancient Ghatika system of Shastra examination at Kanchipuram. In this tradition, the seeker is free to choose the Shastra Grantha in which they wish to be examined. A distinguished panel of accomplished scholars conducts a rigorous oral examination following the classical Ghatika method, evaluating depth, clarity, and thorough understanding.
Students who wish to appear for the examination may do so by clicking the “Register” button on this website. Upon submission, the Ghatikasthanam team will get in touch and guide the applicant through the eligibility review, subject finalization, and examination process.

Upon successfully completing the examination, the candidate will be formally conferred the title of distinction, awarded a cash honorarium, and presented with the prestigious Ghatikasthana Certificate in the august presence of His Holiness
Principal Advantages
In this system, a pot is placed at the center of the examination hall. Inside the pot are palm leaves, each containing a topic or subject area. This method promotes spontaneous thinking, deep understanding, and confident oral expression.
